A former head chorister of Chichester Cathedral, Simon began his career in The Buggles with Trevor Horn, and co-wrote several hits produced by Trevor, including Give Me Back My Heart and the million selling Slave To The Rhythm by Grace Jones. Other writing credits include Toyah, Cliff Richard, Shirley Bassey, Elkie Brooks, Martine McCutcheon and Carol Decker. His media credits include over 150 TV shows including the BBC, Shanghai TV News, X Factor, Top Gear, Talksport, The Premier League Anthem and Sportsday 2017. He is Deputy Chairman of PRS for music, former Chairman of BASCA (British Academy of Songwriters and Composer) and is vice-president of the CIAM (International Council of Authors of Music).
